MUSEUMGOERS
(2016-ongoing)
This series came about as a way to explore the nature of people's relationship to art, and specifically, museums. There are many different reasons why people go to a museum - some people feel it is a necessary cultural experience, while others simply attend as a way to complete a tourist itinerary. The buildings can hold just as much influence as the art itself. These are great places to people watch, as well as sit in silent reflection. I find myself wondering about how people relate to the art, how they think about the space, and how, if at all, it affects their life.
All images shot on 35mm black & white film.
